Samirah Evans Handsome Devils with special guest Michael Zsoldos
In New Orleans, a city known worldwide for its music, Samirah was one of its most popular jazz & blues vocalists. She first performed at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival in 1990, and became a regular fixture as either a leader or featured vocalist for fourteen consecutive years. She has toured Europe, Asia, and both North and South America as a headliner, and shared stages with a multitude of legendary artists from B.B. Jamantics
Hailing from Concord, New Hampshire, JamAntics is a five-piece band that combines elements of rock, funk, pop and even bluegrass-- then jams it out. The members bring varied musical backgrounds into the mix, creating a unique sound. Lead singer Masceo spent years as a singer/songwriter before moving behind the drums, vacating the position of rhythm guitarist for Lucas Gallo who occasionally steps forward to act as lead singer on his own songs. Eric Reingold holds down the bass line while helping Masceo in the percussion section with beat-boxing or a hand-drum. Award-winning Celtic fiddler Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki puts on his funk hat to trade solos and harmonize melodies with Freeland Hubbard, lefty lead-guitarist of considerable prowess who, like Lucas, occasionally serves as lead singer on his own compositions.

Roots of Creation
Roots of Creation, effortlessly blend their original Reggae-riddims (Roots/Dancehall/Dub) with Rock/Funk/Jazz. Their heart felt lyrics, danceable grooves, musical communication and instantly "classic" songwriting have ignited R.O.C. to burn up New England and the world! In 2007, "Rise Up" garnered the band a nomination for Best World Music Act at the Boston Music Awards. On top of that, the band have recently found themselves in high-class musical company as they shared stages and audiences with artists such as chart-topping rapper Lupe Fiasco, Reggae legends like Culture, The Wailers, Israel Vibration, Pato Banton, Toots, and Yellowman, plus well-known acts from all over the musical map such as Matisyahu, Slightly Stoopid, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and Melvin Sparks.
"A Touring Powerhouse"
- Philip Lucas / thepier.org
"Reggae -Funk - Rock that erupts on stage, severing artist-audience barriers while summoning fans to join them in an awakening." - Devin Madden / Relix Magazine
"America's contribution to Reggae music: the Jam-Reggae hybrid."
- Brent Hagerman / Exclaim
"This band has perfected a Jam-Reggae sound...rhythmic jams dusted with an electronica flavor and boosted by funk-rock riffs. This is definitely a band to catch - as the title of the CD suggests - live." - Jon Sobel / New Indie CDs
